ArcLogic and the α Stack are designed for education, research, and self-directed decision-making. This page highlights categories of risk and regulatory context you should consider with your own advisers. It is not legal, tax, or investment advice, and is not a complete list of all risks in trading and investing.
Equities, options, futures, and other derivatives can lose value rapidly. Options positions may be subject to assignment, early exercise, margin requirements, and unlimited or accelerated loss in certain structures. There is no assurance that any modeled distribution or “Greek” map reflects the path your book will experience, especially around earnings, corporate actions, spreads, and liquidity.
Simulations, stress paths, and closed-form greeks rely on assumptions (volatility, rates, borrow, dividends) that are often wrong in practice. Market and broker data in the app may be delayed, incomplete, or sourced from more than one vendor with inconsistent timestamps. Software errors, outages, and mis-clicks can occur — you should not rely on the Product as your only control for risk, compliance, or reporting.
The Product’s BFF can include read-only or preview style interfaces that do not by themselves submit orders to a broker, or that route only in accordance with your explicit configuration. Always confirm orders, positions, and statements with your broker of record and official tax documents, especially where execution or reporting requirements apply.
Depending on your jurisdiction, who you are (individual, firm, or professional), and how you use third-party or client data, you may be subject to investment-advice, best-execution, recordkeeping, or other rules. If you or your customers are subject to SEC, FINRA, CFTC, or similar requirements, you must have qualified compliance counsel review your workflows, copy, and controls — not this document alone.
The Product is provided as is and as available, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, except where prohibited by applicable law. To the maximum extent allowed, Arcbound Logic and its contributors disclaim liability for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Product; you should have counsel align this section with your governing agreements.
